Significant investments are being made to bolster the Maldives' infrastructure:

• Hanimaadhoo International Airport Expansion: A major expansion project is underway, including a new 1.6-mile-long runway and a terminal capable of handling 1.3 million passengers annually, aiming to boost tourism and economic activities in the northern Maldives.
• Greater Malé Connectivity Project: Supported by a $500 million investment from India, this project involves the construction of a 6.74-km bridge and causeway link connecting Malé with surrounding islands, enhancing connectivity and economic integration.
